Ferrari has released the first teaser of its upcoming 296-based track machine. Rumoured to be called the Ferrari 296 GT Modificata, it will be presented at the Ferrari Racing Days event at the Hungaroring, near Budapest, on September 13, 2026. It will be a limited-edition model reserved for Ferrari’s top clients.

The 296 GT was recently spotted testing at the Fiorano. It instantly caught the attention of enthusiasts as it lapped the famous test track in Maranello.

The 296 GT is being built purely for the racetrack. It features a unique rear spoiler with a wide aerofoil, a central pillar and large endplates. It also gets a sculpted front bumper with a large splitter, with canards, flared wheel arches with louvres in the front and big intakes at the rear.

Ferrari is also working on a track-only F80 XX hypercar.
