BYD is making a serious statement in the luxury EV space. The Chinese brand has now revealed the BYD Da Han—a full-size electric sedan longer than the standard Mercedes S-Class.
In its most potent form, the dual-motor AWD setup delivers 764 hp, while a 102.3 kWh LFP battery enables up to 880 km (546 miles) of range (CLTC). There’s also a rear-wheel-drive version pushing range even further, up to a claimed 1,008 km (626 miles). Fast charging is part of the package too, thanks to BYD’s latest flash-charging tech.

Size matters in this segment, and the Da Han delivers. At over 5.2 meters long, it actually stretches 66 mm beyond the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, firmly placing it in flagship territory.

The design of the Da Han is clean but distinctive. A continuous silver roofline flows seamlessly into the pillars, contrasting nicely with the body. Up front, slim headlights are connected by BYD’s signature “Dragon Whiskers” element, while the rear features a full-width light bar. Details like semi-hidden door handles and 21-inch wheels add a modern touch.
