BYD recently rolled out its 5.15-metre-long luxury sedan called the Seal 08. And, as per reports, the Chinese brand has booked 65,000 units in just over 30 hours.
The BYD Seal 08 is a full-size luxury sedan with serious road presence, built on a 3,030 mm wheelbase and measuring nearly two metres wide. It has been priced very aggressively with a base entry price of 196,900 yuan ($28,980).

The flagship variant is where things get exciting. A dual-motor, all-wheel-drive setup delivers a combined 510 kW (around 694 hp), enough to launch this big sedan from 0-62 mph in just 3.3 seconds. Range? A claimed 905 km (CLTC), thanks to an advanced 800V electrical architecture that also enables faster charging.
BYD is offering plug-in hybrid variants as well. These combine a 400 km electric-only range with a staggering total range of up to 1,660 km, giving buyers flexibility without range anxiety.
The Seal 08 features BYD’s DiSus-A air suspension system, promising a plush yet controlled ride, something that is expected from such a luxury sedan in this segment.
