The new-gen Alpine A110 has been teased. The fully-electric sports car will break cover next month.
Alpine took to its social media channels to share a teaser of the upcoming A110. The French brand is preparing to reveal the car on July 9 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Most likely, it isn’t going to be the production-ready model, but a prototype.
Present at the global debut of the new-gen Alpine A110 will be the BWT Alpine Formula One Team, including its two drivers, Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto.
The third-generation A110 will be Alpine’s first fully electric sports car, built on the brand’s all-new Alpine Performance Platform (APP). The company is going as far as calling it the world’s first “true EV sports car” – a pretty bold statement to make.
As per rumours, the A110 will have an 800-volt architecture along with dual rear-mounted electric motors. The setup is designed to preserve a driver-focused 40:60 weight distribution, while an aluminium-heavy construction aims to keep weight in check at around 1,400 kg – for an EV, it’s pretty impressive.
