The Kimera K39 was recently spotted driving on the streets of Monaco. The Koenigsegg-powered retro supercar has been getting a lot of attention from enthusiasts and the folks who have turned up for the Formula 1 race this weekend.
The Kimera K39 is based on a bespoke carbon fibre monocoque. It is styled on the lines of the Lancia 037, with a hint of Ferrari F40, especially around the rear.
The K39 comes with a rear-mid-mounted 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. It’s the same unit that powers the Koenigsegg Jesko, which has been adapted for this car. It produces 1000 hp and 885 lb-ft of torque. The car comes with a 7-speed manual gearbox as standard, while a sequential paddle shift is offered as an option.
The K39 is likely to be built in limited numbers, and there’s a good chance that a few will be lapped up by Monagasques. Deliveries are expected to begin in 2027.
