The current-gen BMW 3 Series will slowly bow out. Before that happens, the German auto giant is giving its beloved sports sedan one last dose of personalised flavour. And for that, a new BMW M340i Black Package has been introduced, which is a subtle yet effective send-off for the G20 before the next-gen model takes over.
Available on both the sedan and the more practical Touring version, the Black Package leans into a darker, more purposeful aesthetic. But it’s not for everyone. In Europe, this treatment is reserved exclusively for 6-cylinder M Performance models, including the BMW M340i and diesel-powered M340d.

What you get here is that the blacked-out badging replaces the usual chrome highlights, while 19-inch “995 M” double-spoke wheels finished in Jet Black complete the stance. BMW’s Shadow Line treatment further enhances the look, adding a gloss black kidney grille and dark chrome exhaust tips. Subtle tweaks to the headlights follow suit, while red brake calipers provide just enough contrast.

Inside, the changes are equally tasteful. Carbon-fibre trim across the dashboard adds a sporty edge, complemented by M-colored stitching on the seatbelts. It’s a small detail, but one that enthusiasts will appreciate.
