Mercedes sent its 2027 AMG CLE 63 Mythos to the Nurburgring for extreme track testing purposes. And that is exactly what the driver of this prototype has been caught doing – absolutely sending the performance coupe through its limits.

The video shows us the 2027 Mercedes AMG CLE 63 Mythos doing the rounds of the Green Hell. And it looks like the test driver is enjoying every single bit of it. The car is being pushed to the limits at every corner, ensuring crucial data is collected for engineers to analyse and fine-tune, if needed.

Even though the prototype is covered in heavy camouflage, its overall silhouette looks pretty darn sporty, proportionate and interesting. Its front end carries the aggressive stance thanks to the low-slung body, blacked-out grille, sleek headlights, and sporty bumper.

Enthusiasts will also appreciate the tasty side profile. The coupe roofline, attractive alloy wheels, and long bonnet enhance the overall visual appeal. Moving to the rear, of course, the showstopper has to be the massive wing. Other eye-catching elements include the familiar yet good-looking taillights, sporty bumper with an inbuilt diffuser, and quad exhausts.

Now the best bit of the 2027 AMG CLE 63 Mythos is under its hood. It is likely to draw power from an AMG-tuned version of the new flat-plane-crank 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 that debuted recently in the Mercedes S-Class. In the luxury sedan, it makes 522 hp and 553 lb ft of torque. Rumours say that in the AMG CLE 63 Mythos, it could fetch more than 600 hp!
