Police stop a Lamborghini Aventador but not for the reason you think

It is almost impossible to ignore a Lamborghini Aventador on the street. Especially when it is finished in a bright orange livery. And that’s exactly what’s happened in this incident.

In a video on social media, police officers are seen pulling over the Aventador. Not for a violation, but purely out of admiration. One of the officers even takes a moment to pose beside the raging bull for a quick picture, before waving the driver on to continue the drive. It’s a rare and refreshingly human moment, proof that great cars can unite enthusiasts, even in uniform.

While the Aventador seen in the video bears a license plate from a different state, this incident is said to have happened on a street in Mumbai, a city no stranger to exotic cars. Still, few machines command presence quite like the Aventador.

Just to jog your memory, the Lamborghini Aventador was introduced back in 2011. Its LP 700–4 variant uses a 6.5L naturally aspirated V12 that pumps out 691 hp and 508 lb ft of torque. The mid-engined supercar with an AWD system can do the 0-62 mph sprint in 2.9 seconds, and is capable of achieving a top speed of 217 mph.
