Genesis Magma GT concept previews brand’s future supercar
Last year, Genesis, Hyundai’s luxury arm, announced its new performance sub-brand – Magma. Besides developing spicier versions of existing models, the carmaker is also planning a Magma-branded mid-engined supercar.
The flagship Genesis supercar has been previewed in the form of the Magma GT Concept, which was revealed a few hours ago.

The Magma GT Concept is a stylish two-door coupe featuring Genesis’ signature twin headlamps and a teardrop-shaped cabin with butterfly doors. Chief Creative Officer Luc Donckerwolke describes it as “the pinnacle of our performance vision and stands as a symbol of our commitment to true motorsport capability.”
The carmaker hasn’t said much about the Magma GT’s powertrain. However, some reports point to a mid-mounted V8 engine.

Genesis also intends to go racing with its halo supercar. The company has already announced its plans to enter the IMSA SportsCar Championship in 2027.
