This year, Ferrari returned to the top class of the Le Mans 24 Hours race after an absence of half a century. And boy, did it make a comeback! The Ferrari 499P secured the overall victory at the legendary Circuit de le Sarthe, beating Toyota, Cadillac, Porsche and Peugeot.
Just before the race, Ferrari unveiled a special edition SF90 Stradale finished in a 499P-inspired livery. It not only celebrated brand’s return to Le Mans but also the centenary of the 24-hour race. Without revealing the exact number of cars it plans to build, Ferrari said it would be available to “a select number of clients”.
Now that Ferrari has secured a victory on its return to Le Mans, the demand for this special edition SF90 will be huge. It also means, a car, which was already sold for a premium, would increase in value even more.
Besides the livery, the SF90 is completely stock. It is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine paired with three electric motors. The combined output of this setup is just shy of 1000 hp.
