Bugatti is gearing up to roll out its most extreme creation, the Bolide, soon. The track-only hypercar is currently undergoing validation tests before it goes into production. Recently, the car was put through its paces on an airfield. This video shows the Bolide during a high-speed dynamic test.

The production-spec Bugatti Bolide was unveiled in April this year. If you look closely, you notice a few changes compared to the concept that was showcased in 2020. But that doesn’t mean it has gotten tamer.

The Bolide still packs Bugatti’s legendary quad-turbo W16 motor that has been tuned to produce 1600 hp. Thanks to a dry weight of just 1450 kg, this car has an insane power-to-weight ratio. Bugatti claims it can pull 1.6 gs under acceleration, which is unheard of in the automotive space.

The Bolide’s carbon fibre monocoque is wrapped in intricate carbon origami that generates a tonne of downforce. It has a massive 2-element rear wing with large end plates and an enormous diffuser.

Only 40 examples of the Bugatti Bolide will be produced, each with a price tag of $4 million. The first deliveries of the Bolide are scheduled for 2024.
