Following its unveiling at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, the Koenigsegg Jesko set out on a world tour. Today, the brand’s latest hypercar dropped by Weissach Performance – Koenigsegg’s official dealer for Canada, located in Vancouver, BC.
The Jesko is the replacement for the Agera RS and is touted to be the world’s fastest “megacar”. In fact, it is expected to crack 300 mph, setting a new benchmark for hypercars like the Hennessey Venon F5, SSC Tuatara and the Bugatti Chiron.
Powering this beast is a 5.0-litre, twin-turbocharged V8 engine that produces upto 1600 hp. The engine is mated to a 9-speed transmission that uses 7-clutches for seamless shifts. Like the One:1, the Jesko too has a power-to-weight ratio of 1:1, thanks to its carbon fiber construction.
Koenigsegg is building 125 units of the Jesko and production is set to commence at the end of 2020. The model will be available in two variants – track or top speed with a base price of $2.8 million. What’s more surprising is that all 125 of them have already been spoken for.
