BYD is preparing to launch its new Da Han EV in China on October 13, and the electric flagship already has some impressive numbers to its name. Most notably, BYD claims a drag coefficient of just 0.197 Cd. For reference, the recently revealed Jaguar Type 01 luxury electric grand tourer has a drag coefficient of 0.23 Cd.
The Da Han opened its pre-sales in August, with customer deliveries expected to begin within two weeks of its official launch.

The range starts with a single-motor version producing 496 hp. It uses a 102kWh battery and offers a claimed CLTC range of up to 1,008 km, or 626 miles.
At the other end is the dual-motor all-wheel-drive model, which develops a substantial 764 hp. Despite the extra performance, it can still travel up to 880 km (546 miles), according to BYD.

For the cabin, buyers can specify a 31-speaker audio system, while electrochromic rear windows can change their transparency at the push of a button. Real-wood trim and a three-screen dashboard add to the premium feel.
BYD will reveal final pricing and delivery details when the Da Han officially launches on October 13.
