The Jaguar Type 01 was revealed recently, and this is its first sighting after it broke cover. The electric four-seat grand tourer has been spotted at night, slowly cruising on the streets of New York.
And with this sighting, the Jaguar Type 01 has put all the earlier speculations to rest, which raised questions about its appearance when it was under camouflage. Jaguar’s most powerful road car ever looks imposing in the real world.
The car is seriously long, with a low and wide stance that gives it plenty of road presence. There is also something distinctly elegant about its shape. Even at low speed, it has the aura of an expensive luxury GT rather than simply another electric performance car.
The Type 01 uses three electric motors that produce a combined 1,016 hp and 1,007 lb-ft of torque. Jaguar claims 0-62 mph in 3.2 seconds, while a 118kWh battery offers up to 450 miles of WLTP range.
