At the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2026, Maserati has unveiled the Project GT4—a track-focused machine derived from the GranTurismo and built to compete in GT4 racing from 2028.
The Maserati Project GT4 uses a now-familiar 3.0-litre Nettuno V6, but in this application, it’s pushed beyond 700 hp. What makes it special isn’t just the number—it’s the technology behind it.

The engine uses Formula 1-derived pre-chamber combustion. It is a system that has been designed to improve efficiency and power delivery. This gives the Project GT4 the edge it needs for professional racing.
Power is sent to the rear wheels, while a race-focused suspension setup—borrowed and evolved from the Trofeo—features adjustable dampers to fine-tune performance for different circuits. Compared to the road-going GranTurismo, Project GT4 sheds around 400 kg, which is a massive reduction.

Built to GT4 regulations, it rides on 18-inch wheels and features a special livery with a huge Trident logo sitting proudly on the hood.
