The electric station wagon market in China is about to get another interesting addition, with the Formula S GT arriving at dealerships ahead of its official launch.

The car takes design inspiration from BYD’s Denza Z sports car, giving it a sharp and low-slung appearance. It features trapezoidal LED headlights, a sloping bonnet and sporty bumpers, along with semi-hidden door handles and multi-spoke wheels. There are also roof-mounted LiDAR sensors, roof rails and a small ducktail spoiler.

Inside, there is a three-spoke steering wheel that sits ahead of a compact digital instrument display, while the gear selector is mounted on a stalk. The floating central screen dominates the dashboard, with physical controls, cup holders and a wireless charging pad arranged on the centre tunnel.

Power comes from a 92.1 kWh LFP battery. The rear-wheel-drive version uses a 300 kW (400 hp) motor and offers up to 850 km (528 miles) of CLTC range, while the 490 kW (657 hp) all-wheel-drive model can travel up to 730 km (453 miles).
