Prototypes of the 2027 BMW X5M and baby Mercedes G-Class have been spotted together in Munich, Germany. Both test mules are wearing heavy camouflage and have been captured stopped at a red light.
We can clearly see the size difference between the two German SUVs. The upcoming BMW X5M looks huge parked beside the baby G-Class. But we reckon things would have been different had it been the OG mafia G-Wagon.
The 2027 BMW X5M is expected to feature a redesigned kidney grille. This time it would be more upright and have a three-dimensional look. The SUV would also come with significantly larger air intakes and extra vents at the front bumper. It might draw power from four electric motors – one on each wheel – and have an output between 800 and 900 hp.
The new baby Mercedes G-Class will use the same boxy design of the actual G Wagon. It will come equipped with a spare wheel mounted on the boot, stylish alloy wheels, LED taillamps, and a high-mount stop lamp. The all-electric version is expected to feature an 85 kWh battery pack and dual motors, targeting a driving range of up to 450 miles.
