2026 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X debuts: 1250 hp Hybrid AWD
Chevrolet has finally taken the wraps off the most powerful American performance car – the Corvette ZR1X.
The Chevy Corvette ZR1X is the most extreme version of the mid-engined supercar. It is available in coupe and convertible body styles and comes with an optional ZTK Performance Package.
Powering the Corvette ZR1X is the same 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that powers the standard ZR1. It delivers 1064 hp @ 7000 rpm and 828 lb-ft of torque @ 6000 rpm.
However, unlike the ZR1, the ZR1X is a hybrid. It features an electric motor, which delivers an additional 186 hp and 145 lb-ft to the front axle. Thus, the ZR1X not only has all-wheel-drive capability but also packs 1250 hp!
Chevrolet claims the ZR1X can sprint from 0-60 mph in under 2 seconds. It crosses the quarter-mile in under 9 seconds at 150 mph. Nestled within the rigid spine of the chassis is a 1.9 kWh battery.
The ZR1X comes with the J59 braking package, which includes 16.5-inch rotors in the front and rear paired with 10-piston and 6-piston calipers, respectively. Chevrolet offers Michelin PS4S tires as standard, while Michelin Pilot Cup 2Rs are available with the ZTK Performance Package.
Customers can also opt for a high-downforce ‘Carbon Aero Package’ which adds dive planes, underbody strakes, a hood gurney lip over the front heat extractor, and a rear wing. It generates 1200 lbs of downforce at top speed.
Prices for the Corvette ZR1X will be announced at a later date.
