2016 Geneva Motor Show: Renault Alpine Vision Concept

Renault Alpine Vision Concept- 2016 Geneva Motor Show-17

The latest iteration of future Alpine A110 concept has just been revealed. Dubbed Alpine Vision Concept, it is Renault’s new mid-engine sports car concept built to commemorate the success of the A110 from 1970s.

According to Renault, 80 percent of the car you see here will make it to production and that’s awesome because doesn’t look fantastic! The new Alpine Vision has the Porsche Cayman and Alfa Romeo 4C in its sight and is based around a similar philosophy- mid-engine, rear-wheel drive and lightweight. We can’t wait to find out how it compares to its rivals.

The Renault Alpine Vision styling is reminiscent of the classic Alpine A110 which is regarded as one of the best looking sports cars even today. The quad head lights, wraparound rear windshield and sculpted sides all remind us of the gorgeous A110.

While Renault is yet to reveal technical details of the car, they have confirmed a 4-cylinder turbocharged unit for the production Alpine Vision. Interior images of the concept show shift paddles behind the steering wheel that probably operate a dual-clutch transmission. Speaking of interior, the Alpine Vision presents the driver with a stunning cabin that looks sporty and modern. It’s good to see the ‘Alpine’ badge on steering wheel hub.
