The Porsche 918 Spyder is one of the most significant hypercars of its time. It’s considered a part of the Holy Trinity, which also includes the LaFerrari and McLaren P1. Only 918 examples were produced, each with a removable top. But there exists a unique, highly elusive Porsche 918 coupe, and it will be showcased at Salon Prive this week.

The Porsche 918 coupe was commissioned by the latest VW boss, Ferdinand Piech, through Porsche’s Sonderwunsch division. Unlike standard 918s, which come with a 2-piece carbon fibre roof, this unique example has a fixed single-piece roof. The car is painted in Oxford Blue with Arancio and has a Tangerine and Imperial Blue interior. Weirdly, the seats still have “918 Spyder” embroidered into the headrests.

The Porsche 918 coupe is powered by a 4.6-liter V8 engine paired with two electric motors. It has a combined output of 875 hp and 944 lb-ft of torque and all-wheel drive.

Porsche 918 Spyder have been increasing in value. A Paint to Sample Pure Orange example sold at auction for a record $6 million earlier this year.
