VIDEO: Doug deMuro Confirms that the Ferrari 812 is indeed Superfast
Doug deMuro got his hands on a Ferrari 812 Superfast recently. In his latest video, Doug tries to figure out whether the 812 is worthy of its “Superfast” moniker.
As always, Doug starts by giving us a tour of the car, while highlighting all of its quirks and interesting features. This being a Ferrari, there are quite a few of them. He thinks the car looks sufficiently aggressive with its myriad of cuts, creases and vents. He then takes it out on the road to experience the sheer power of the 6.5-liter, naturally aspirated V12 engine.
Finally, he gives it a Doug Score. If you’re familiar with this, you’d be aware that it favors modern supercars like the 812. So, we can expect the 812 to be somewhere around the top, amongst cars like the Bugatti Chiron and Porsche 918 Spyder.
The Ferrari 812 Superfast replaces the F12 Berlinetta. It is a front-engined grand tourer powered by a 6.5-liter V12 that puts out 789 hp and 530 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, which sends the power to the rear wheels. The 812 will do 0-62 mph in 2.9 seconds and has a top speed of 211 mph.
