Ultra-exclusive Bentley Batur Convertible takes open-top motoring to the next level
Bentley has taken the wraps off its latest coachbuilt creation, the Batur Convertible. It’s the third modern Bentley to be crafted by Mulliner, after the Bacalar and Batur coupe.
We loved the Batur when it first came out, and let’s be honest, it looks even better with its roof chopped off. The low-set grille is flanked by expressive LED headlamps. One can really appreciate the elegant design of the car with its wide hips, especially in the front 3/4 view.
Moving to the rear, the Batur convertible has slim wraparound taillights and a subtle ducktail spoiler. The 2-seater also features an “airbridge” behind the seats. According to Bentley, the convertible roof can be raised or lowered in just 19 seconds at speeds of up to 30 mph.
The Bentley Batur Convertible #0 is painted in a bespoke Vermillion Gloss with a Vermillion Satin Duo tone interior. The front splitters, side skirt and rear diffuser are finished in high gloss carbon fibre. It rides on 22-inch wheels that have Gloss and Satin Black Titanium spokes with Vermillion Gloss accents.
Powering the Batur Convertible is Bentley’s most powerful W12 engine. This 6.0-liter twin-turbo unit puts out 740 hp. Production is limited to just 16 units, which is 2 units less than the coupe.
