Touring Superleggera to debut Ferrari 575M-inspired GT at Pebble Beach

Italian coachbuilder Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera is all set to reveal its latest creation at The Quail on August 16, 2024.

The company has shared a few teaser images of the new grand tourer, that hint at a front-engined coupe. We’ve been told that its design will be inspired by the Ferrari 575M. The flat rear fascia seen in one of the images points to exactly that.

Moreover, the new Grand Tourer is expected to be based on the Ferrari 812 Superfast. It will feature a custom carbon fibre body with hints of the 575M. We were able to count a few design elements inspired by Ferrari’s flagship GT from the 2000s. The car has a low-slung grille and a sharp nose section. The bonnet has a central intake, and there are dual extractor vents on the sides.

While we have no confirmation yet on the engine that will power Touring’s new Grand Tourer, it would be safe to assume that it will get the same 6.5-liter V12 from the 812 Superfast. This powerhouse puts out 789 hp at 8,500 rpm and 530 lb-ft of torque at 7,000 rpm.

Another highlight of this car is that Touring has replaced the 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox with an old-school manual transmission with a gated shifter.
