The Jaguar Type 01 has received a lot of flak for how it looks. While the exterior design may not be to everyone’s liking, we are digging the retro-modern look of the interior.
Jaguar is showcasing its latest electric grand tourer at Monterey Car Week, and for the first time we will get to see the interior. The official images reveal a 1980s-style cabin with “four individual spaces”. It has retro-style two-tone seats with a central spine running along the length of the cabin.

The dashboard also has a simple, horizontal layout with a small vertical touchscreen in the centre and a wide digital driver info display. The 2-spoke steering wheel reminds us of the luxury sedans from the 80s.
The Jaguar Type 01 electric grand tourer is powered by a tri-motor setup pushing out over 1000 hp and more than 959 lb-ft of torque. The EV will feature a 120 kWh battery pack that will offer a range of over 400 miles. The car is set to make its debut in New York in October.
