SEMA 2023: Ferrari Testarossa EV is an oddly wonderful restomod

Gas Monkey Garage has brought a rather special Ferrari to the SEMA show this year. It is based on a Testarossa, but as you can see from the images, it’s nothing like it.

This is Ferrari Testarossa uses a pure-electric powertrain from Legacy EV. It develops 300 hp and 368 lb-ft of torque and comes with an 84.6 kWh battery pack, offering a range of 170-225 miles.

With that out of the way, let’s now talk about the design. The EV Ferrari Testarossa by Gas Monkey Garage has a retro-speedster design. It has a short windscreen but no roof. Another unique highlight of this car is that it’s a 3-seater, with the driver’s seat positioned in the centre.

Ferrari purists might have something to say about this, but if you ask me, it looks interesting. We would’ve probably stuck with the original 12-cylinder engine, but otherwise, as a concept, it gets a thumbs-up from us.
