Rolls-Royce Arcadia Droptail is one of just 4 coachbuilt roadsters planned

Rolls-Royce has revealed the third coachbuilt Droptail. Named after Arcadia, a place known in Ancient Greek mythology as ‘Heaven on Earth’, it joins the La Rose Noire and Amethyst Droptail.

The Rolls-Royce Droptail is based on a monocoque created exclusively for this project. It uses a mix of aluminium, steel and carbon fibre components. The exterior of the Arcadia Droptail is finished in solid white infused with aluminium and glass particles. The carbon fibre lower section is painted silver, completing the dual-tone look. The front grille and 22-inch alloy wheels are polished to a mirror finish as a tribute to historical Rolls-Royce motorcars.

Inside, Rolls-Royce has used Santos Straight Grain – one of the finest grain types of all wood species used within a Rolls-Royce. The same high-density hardwood can be found on the rear deck section. The company claims that the veneer pieces were subjected to rigorous testing. The wood pieces and protective coating required more than 8,000 hours of development.

The interior is trimmed in white and tan coloured leather. The car also has exquisite shawl panels and a bespoke timepiece with a Santos Straight Grain veneer fascia.

The Rolls-Royce Arcadia Droptail is being delivered to a client in Singapore.
