Porsche debuts the 3rd-gen Panamera with more luxury & tech

Porsche has unveiled the third generation Panamera. The brand’s new flagship sedan is said to be more luxurious and tech-laden than before.

As is the case with most Porsches, the new Panamera’s design is an evolution of its predecessor. The car features an updated front fascia with larger intakes and reprofiled LED headlamps. The car retains its coupe-like proportions and gets a continuous LED light graphic at the rear.

On the interior, the new Panamera comes with a 12.6-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The gear lever has been moved to the dashboard, thus freeing up space on the centre console.

The Panamera is now equipped with an active suspension system, which reacts to the driver inputs. The system reduces the car’s natural tendency to pitch and roll by adjusting the suspension.

Porsche offers multiple engine options on the new Panamera. These include a 2.9-liter V6 and an updated V8 plug-in hybrid that make 662 hp and 686 lb-ft of torque.

The latter enables the car to sprint from 0-62 mph in 3.3 seconds and to a top speed of 196 mph. It comes with a 25.9 kWh battery offering an electric-only range of 56 miles.
