The new Porsche Cayenne Electric appears to be off to an encouraging start in Australia, with the company reporting a strong early response from customers. Interestingly, many of those showing interest are also completely new to Porsche.
While Porsche Cars Australia isn’t revealing order numbers, PR and marketing director Alexis Truscott said the initial reaction to the electric SUV has been positive, particularly after prospective customers had their first opportunity to get behind the wheel.

“We can’t share order volumes, but we can say that the early response and the first opportunity for customers to drive the new Cayenne Electric has been very well received,” Truscott said.
And it isn’t just existing Porsche owners making the move to electric. According to Truscott, the customer base is a mixture of existing and new buyers, with newcomers forming the larger group.

“It’s a mix of both, with the larger majority being new to Porsche,” she added.
