Porsche is strengthening its motorsport ties with Manthey Racing, increasing its stake in the German company. The partnership will also deliver two new special-edition Porsche models, which are set to be unveiled alongside Manthey’s 30th anniversary celebrations and the DTM season finale at Hockenheimring.
The two companies have worked together since 1996, with Porsche acquiring a 51% majority stake in Manthey in 2013. Its latest move to buy an additional 16% stake further underlines its commitment to the racing team.

The increased investment also puts to rest speculation that Porsche might be looking to distance itself from Manthey, particularly amid a difficult period for the sports car manufacturer.
For enthusiasts, the most exciting development is the promise of two special editions. Details remain under wraps, but Manthey’s expertise in extracting performance from Porsche road cars makes the announcement worth watching.

The company already offers performance upgrades for models such as the 911 GT2 and GT3 RS, 718 Cayman GT4 and all-electric Taycan.
