Porsche 911 Turbo hits the test track sporting a ducktail spoiler

1 Min Read

A Porsche 911 Turbo test mule has been spotted at the Nurburgring. But, unlike the regular 911 Turbo which has a retractable rear wing, this one is sporting a classic ducktail spoiler.

At first glance, it looks like a regular 992-gen 911 Turbo. However, the camouflage around the front and rear could be hiding some interesting modifications. On the inside, the rear seats have been replaced with a roll cage. Besides, the sporty exhaust note suggests that it might have a different exhaust system compared to the standard Turbo S.

We have no idea what engine is powering this test car. However, assuming it is based on the new 911 Turbo, it is likely to be powered by a 3.8-liter, twin-turbo, flat-six engine producing 640 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque.

Now, it’s unclear as to what this car might be. Some believe that it could be an optional aero package for the 911 Turbo. There are also speculations about a new 911 Sport Classic special edition. Either way, we really like the way the car looks with that ducktail spoiler.
