Porsche has been working on a new special edition called the 911 GT3 Bergsport. The car briefly popped up on the brand’s Austrian website in July before the page was taken down. It also hinted at August 1 as its launch date.

It has been a few weeks, and there hasn’t been any word from Porsche yet. However, it seems the 911 GT3 Bergsport may finally be revealed to the public on September 1, 2026.

As you can see, this image is a screengrab of Porsche’s official website, which clearly mentions the launch date.

The 911 GT3 Bergsport is said to be “a tribute to alpine driving”, which explains why the teaser features an alpine pass.

We’ve also learnt that Porsche representatives from the Alpine countries of France, Italy, Austria and Switzerland created this special edition solely for the European market. Rumours suggest that production will be limited to 100 units.

The Bergsport is expected to be a standard Porsche 911 GT3 with a ducktail spoiler at the back, while the 4.0-liter flat-6 engine could be paired with a manual transmission.
