Nissan truck ends up over a Subaru after Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale crashes into it

A rare Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale was involved in a traffic collision resulting in severe damage. The Challenge Stradale was the track-specific version of the Ferrari 360. The incident occurred in Melbourne, Australia. Primarily, it appears that the driver of the Ferrari lost control and rammed into the Nissan pick-up.

Ferrari 360, Nissan Navara and Subaru Impreza damaged

As seen in the video, the Ferrari swerved into oncoming traffic and hit a Nissan Navara that was waiting due to traffic. Now, as we know, the Ferrari is aerodynamic and has a low stance resulting in a wedge for the pickup truck. This led to the Navara to jump onto a Subaru Impreza causing significant damage.

The good news was the fact that no one was seriously injured in the incident. All the occupants managed to avoid severe injuries.

Damage to the Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale

The Ferrari has been damaged extensively according to the images and videos that surfaced online,. The entire front portion of the Italian car including bumper, fender, hood and the windscreen were damaged. Further, the internals also appear to be destroyed along with the deployment of the airbags.

Thankfully, as the engine is mounted towards the middle of the car, the damage appears repairable. It can also be seen that bodywork is reasonably intact. The owner would have to shell out a lot of cash for the repairs. Thanks to the rarity and the age of the vehicle, Ferrari is likely to charge a bomb for repair and parts could take a while to arrive.

Based on the Ferrari 360 Modena, the Challenge Stradale was more powerful and weighed lower as well. Ferrari also had equipped the Challenge Stradale with a track-optimized set-up and a loud exhaust.

Coming to the power, the 3.6-liter naturally aspirated engine was good for 419 HP and 275 lb-ft. of peak torque.
