Talented folks at SportAuto have just lapped the Nurburgring in a Mercedes-AMG GT R and the results are astonishing. A very green Mercedes-AMG GT R set a time of 7 min 10 sec, which is blisteringly quick for a front-engine rear-wheel drive sports car.
To put this in perspective, SportAuto had previously set another quick of the Nurburgring in a Porsche 918 Spyder and it did it in 7 min 13 sec. So basically, the AMG GT R outpaced the million dollar Porsche hypercar with all its futuristic hybrid tech and all-wheel drive. Simply brilliant!
