A prototype of the upcoming Mercedes-AMG GT facelift recently caught fire during testing in Spain.
A video posted on social media shows the test mule engulfed in flames. The accident took place in the Sierra Nevada region.
While the exact cause is unclear, it looks like the blaze may have started in the rear of the car. The flames were so intense that the onboard fire extinguishers proved insufficient. The car is said to have completely burnt to the ground by the time the fire department could douse the flames.
Luckily, no one was injured in the accident.
