Mercedes-Benz is currently working on the next Black Series model – a hardcore version of the Mercedes-AMG GT. It was teased as the Concept AMG GT Track Sport earlier in July. Now, the car has entered its testing phase.

The new track-focused AMG GT looks wild in prototype form. According to Mercedes, the focus has been on maximum driving dynamics and lightweight construction. The latest tests are aimed at validating the weight balance, aerodynamics and the V8 engine hiding under the long hood.

The test car features a low-slung grille with sharp-looking headlamps. It has a front splitter and a prominent hood vent. A large, top-mounted wing with massive end plates sits on the rear deck lid, similar to that of the Porsche 911 GT3 RS.
