After revealing the production form of the Speirling Pure earlier this month, McMurtry took it to the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2026. The single-seater electric hypercar was captured doing a lap around the famous hill climb circuit, which looked like fast-forwarded footage.
The video shows us the McMurtry Speirling Pure getting off the line from different angles. And this performance EV takes off like it’s nobody’s business. Thanks to its 1000 hp and a 0-60 mph sprint time of just 1.55 seconds.
The clip then shows the Speirling Pure tackling curves like it’s on rails. Perhaps it wouldn’t be wrong to give the biggest credit for this to McMurtry’s Downforce-on-Demand system. It consists of two high-speed fans that can spin at up to 23,000 rpm and provide immense suction and thus immediate and consistent downforce. This system also allows drivers to push the car to its limits at 3g in corners and at 3g under braking.
Since it’s a pure electric machine, there are no acoustics as such that would please purists. However, once again, thanks to the Downforce-on-Demand system, the Speirling PURE sounds like a jet engine.

Even though McMurtry has already revealed the production form of the Speirling Pure, the electric hypercar is scheduled to make its official debut in California on 14 Aug.
