McLaren Artura hybrid supercar to be unveiled on February 16

McLaren is planning to unveil the Artura hybrid supercar on February 16, 2021.

McLaren’s first series production hybrid supercar started off as the High Performance Hybrid (HPH), which was later renamed as the McLaren Artura. Last year, Woking also released a few images of the prototype to keep the buzz going.

The Artura will be powered by a turbocharged V6 engine and an electric motor driving the rear axle. McLaren claims that the powertrain offers all the benefits of the larger V8 engine and has better torque response at low engine speeds. The Artura will also have an all-electric mode. More details are expected to be released after the unveiling.

McLaren has built 45 prototypes of the Artura. Out of these 11 cars are disguised to look like other McLaren models. One of the prototypes is a modified 600LT.
