The new Lotus Emira 420 Sport has been revealed. And it has been made sharper and lighter, with the aim of bringing back pure driving fun.
Built on the Emira Turbo platform, this one packs a serious punch. The Mercedes-AMG-sourced 4-cylinder engine now pushes out 414 hp. Lotus claims a 0-62 mph sprint in just 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 186 mph. But that’s not really the point here.

The Lotus Emira 420 Sport comes standard with a Lightweight Handling Pack, shaving off 25 kg and bringing it down to 1,421 kg. Downforce is improved too, thanks to subtle but effective aerodynamic tweaks. Look closer, and you’ll spot a redesigned front splitter, reshaped vents, extended sills, and a new rear lip spoiler. These aren’t just for show. Cooling is improved significantly, with better airflow to the radiators and enhanced brake cooling for serious track work.

The suspension sits 5 mm lower and has been uniquely tuned for this model. Grip levels are higher, responses sharper. Even the interaction feels more mechanical, thanks to bespoke carbon fibre shift paddles paired with revised haptics.

There’s an optional carbon package that replaces key exterior elements – including the diffuser and rear wing – with lightweight carbon fibre parts. Lotus is even offering a new removable sunroof as an option.
