Loris Bicocchi tests the Bugatti Centodieci at Nardo

Bugatti has been camping at the Nardo test track in Italy, putting the final touches on the Centodieci and the Chiron Super Sport. Motor1 got rare and exclusive access to the track and witness the dynamic testing in person.

As Alessandro explains, getting inside the sprawling test facility isn’t easy. You even have to attend a briefing and short test. I guess, that’s a minor inconvenience when you see the kind of machines lined up on the other side of the gates. Besides the aforementioned hypercars, Bugatti also had the Divo, Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse as well as the legendary EB11o duo on site. Test duties were handled by none other than Loris Bicocchi.

Drooling over the EB110s, one can clearly see the inspiration behind the Centodieci. At its heart is an 8.0-liter W16 engine that makes no less than 1600 hp. Just like its stablemates, this car can also do insane speeds. However, the Centodieci is more about style and making a statement when you arrive. After all, Christiano Ronaldo owns one.

At just under $10 million, it’s one of the most expensive coach built Bugatti hypercars. Only 10 cars are being built and production is expected to commence soon.
