Mercedes just released a teaser image of the upcoming Project One hypercar. It doesn’t reveal much apart from the LED headlights, a roof scoop and AMG lettering on the front grille.

Mercedes-AMG has released a teaser video of the upcoming Project One hypercar. It’s one of the most anticipated supercars of 2017 which will be unveiled at the Frankfurt motor show on September 12.

The videos feature Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton who talks about some of the legends from the past 50 years of AMG – AMG GT R, SLS AMG Electric Drive, the legendary Mercedes 300CE AMG “Hammer” and Mercedes 300 SEL 6.8.

The Mercedes-AMG Project One has already been showcased to a select group of prospective buyers. In fact, we know a person who is getting one. Until now, we have only seen renderings of the car however there a few bits of information that AMG has revealed.

It is expected to be powered by a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine straight from teh latest F1 car. The engine will also borrow the MGU-K and MGU-H modules from the race car. Additionally, the Project One will have one electric motor on each axle as well on the crankshaft and turbocharger. Basically, the Project One will be an F1 car with a license plate.
