Lamborghini Temerario debuts at Pebble Beach; Twin-turbo V8 hybrid & 907 hp!
The much-awaited Lamborghini Huracan successor has finally been revealed. Dubbed ‘Temerario, the brand’s new entry-level supercar now has a hybrid heart.
The Lamborghini Temerario is powered by an all-new 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that revs to 10,000 rpm. It is paired with three electric motors, including an axial-flux electric motor integrated into its 8-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The ICE alone develops 789 hp @ 9000-9750 rpm and 538 lb-ft of torque @ 4000-7000 rpm, while the electric motors provide a boost of 148 hp and 221 lb-ft. The car is equipped with a 3.8 kWh lithium-ion battery pack.
Thanks to the e-axle, the Temerario features Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo (LDV) 2.0. Electric torque vectoring increases the car’s agility in narrow cornering as well as its stability in high-speed cornering. When braking, the e-axle and rear electric motor contribute to deceleration, reducing stress on the brakes while recharging the battery.
The Lamborghini Temerario carries forward the classic wedge-shaped design of its predecessors. It has a low and flat front end with slim LED headlamps and a hexagonal LED DRL just below it. There’s a large side intake and an additional duct on the top of the rear fender. The rear fascia comprises a central exhaust flanked by hexagonal LED taillights and a large diffuser.
The interior of the new Temerario looks similar to that of the flagship Revuelto. It has the same 3-spoke steering wheel with a digital instrument cluster, a central touchscreen and an additional display on the passenger side.
