Lamborghini Aventador successor spied in its prototype avatar

The Lamborghini Aventador is being replaced with a brand-new hybrid supercar. We got our first glimpse of the Aventador successor back in December last year, courtesy of Varryx. It has been spotted yet again, and this time there are quite a few details we can discuss.

The overall design seems to be an evolution of the Aventador. The front section, the steeply raked windshield and doors are reminiscent of the outgoing model. The headlamps appear to have been placed in triangular pods, while the side vents now make a V-shape.

At the rear, the quad exhausts are now positioned between the two tail lights. The design of the LED tail lamps appears to be inspired by the Lamborgini Veneno. The car also seems to have a stepped spoiler and a diffuser that looks aggressive.

The Aventador successor is expected to be based on an all-new platform. Reports suggest that the car will use a completely new V12 engine. The naturally aspirated motor will be paired with a hybrid system. We can expect an overall output of over 1000 hp.
