Ferrari has just revealed the $2.5 million LaFerrari FXXK with 1035 bhp from a 6.3-liter V12 and electric boost. The Mclaren P1 doesn’t come cheap either. The twin-tubocharged V8 generates 903 bhp from a hybrid drivetrain. Unlike the Mclaren, Koenigsegg Agera from Sweden derives power from a turbo V8 but with no electric drive assistance or “torque fill”.

A Texas-based tuning company’s one of the biggest achievements till date has been the Hennessey Venom GT. The 1244 hp hypercar starts a rather humble life as a Lotus Exige which is then ripped apart to make space for a supercharged V8 engine bolted into a custom frame. The front and rear track is increased to aid handling and grip.
