Koenigsegg One:1 On-board POV Hot Lap of Suzuka: Video

Watch a Koenigsegg One:1 do a hot lap around one of the greatest F1 circuits on the calendar. Suzuka Circuit in Japan is home to the Japanese GP. It is one of the very few tracks in a figure of eight configuration and features a very fast left hand corner towards the end of the lap. An F1 car can go around 120R corner almost flat-out but how will a 1341 hp hypercar handle it? To find out, what the video below.

The Koenigsegg One:1 was shipped to Japan for an event called -‘Sound of Engines’. The car did a couple of laps of the circuit with Robert Serwanski at the wheel. While, Robert can be seen driving conservatively, the One:1 did set an unofficial lap time of 2 min 17.57 sec.

After the lap Robert Serwanski said,

“We had to take care of the brakes a little. It was an oversight on our part, but we didn’t put new pads in before shipping the car to Japan and we didn’t bring fresh pads with us. Hard braking was an issue as a result, which will influence the speed at which you approach a corner. While we were carrying an extra person in the car in all of our laps, this wasn’t a big factor. It does affect your steering and braking at the limit, but we were not at the limit today.”
