A unique Koenigsegg Jesko has been destroyed while driving down a Greek highway. It is the first such incident involving a customer Jesko.
The Jesko Attack Nur Edition had carbon and gold specification similar to the famous Jesko Odin. It had exposed carbon fibre bodywork with gold accents, carbon wheels and gold brake calipers.

It seems the Jesko Nur Edition was part of the Koenigsegg Ghost Squadron 2024 rally, which was flagged off from Italy recently. While the exact details are awaited, it appears that the hypercar was cruising down the highway when it suddenly caught fire. As per reports, no one was injured in the accident.
The Koenigsegg Jesko is powered by a 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that puts out 1280 hp and 1106 lb-ft of max torque. The engine is paired with a 9-speed multi-clutch transmission.

I’m saddened by this report. I have seen Koenigsegg climb to the top in their factory in Engelholm just a 45 min drive from where I live. I sincerely hope that the engineers and workers of said factory will be able to determine the cause and then make this super car an even better flagship of theirs.
Apparently, the investigation into the fire is already underway. Koenigsegg has also issued a ‘Do Not Drive’ order to all Jesko owners.
