Jonny Lieberman pops his Koenigsegg cherry with the Agera XS

Motor Trend’s Jonny Lieberman finally got a taste of what it’s like to drive a Koenigsegg hypercar.

Jonny got a chance to drive Kris Singh’s (@lamborghiniks) one-off Koenigsegg Agera XS in Miami recently. This isn’t a video review by any stretch of imagination. But, it shows how a person who has never driven a Koenigsegg would react in the driver’s seat. If Jonny, who road tests supercars for a living can get blown away while cruising around in an Agera, imagine how a layman in the passenger seat of one would react.

The Agera XS is powered by a 5.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that makes about 1360 hp. It’s the same engine that was offered in the uber-exclusive One:1. Koenigsegg built two Agera XS hypercars but only had the 1360 hp engine. The other got the standard 1200 hp motor.

Kris Singh’s Agera XS is finished in a bright orange color that has a diamond-dust metallic effect. Exposed carbon surfaces add a nice contrast. On the inside, the car is finished in black Alcantara with orange stitching.
