Motoring journalists in the US are busy testing the brand new Ford Mustang fastback. It is the first time that Ford has organized an official media drive where journalists will get to drive all variants of the upcoming Ford Mustang which will be on the roads by next year.
Ford is offering the new pony car with a 5.0-liter V8 on the Mustang GT. This engine puts out 435 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. Then there’s the 3.7-liter V6 engine that generates 300 hp and 280 lb-ft. For the first time, Ford is offering a 2.3-liter EcoBoost 4-cylinder engine 310 hp and 320 lb-ft of torque. Customers get to choose from a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic with paddle shifts.
