1 Min Read

The Ford Le Mans Hypercar has completed its first major track test, covering 1,000 km (621 miles) at Circuit Paul Ricard in France as development of the new endurance racer picks up pace.

The test gave Ford Racing an opportunity to put the car through sustained running while its drivers gathered data on performance and reliability.

Logan Sargeant, Matt Campbell, Tom Blomqvist and Mike Rockenfeller shared driving duties, while support drivers Sebastian Priaulx and Nick Yelloly were also present to monitor the programme and collect information.

Ford plans to continue testing the Hypercar across three continents over the coming months, with a busy schedule already mapped out. The team will first head to Ford’s technical centre in North Carolina for three days of simulator work before returning to the track at Portimao in Portugal in September.
