As if the Mercedes-Benz GLS was not luxurious enough, there’s now a Mercedes-Maybach GLS.

In terms of luxury and opulence, the Maybach treatment takes the GLS to the next level. It has the bespoke Maybach grille with thin vertical slats. The front bumper has a silver mesh and chrome inserts on either side. The front skid plate is also finished in chrome.

The Maybach GLS features chrome finished B-pillars and has chrome trim around the windows. It has a chrome insert on the rocker panel as well as roof rails finished in chrome. The Maybach emblem can be seen on the D-pillar. The rear also features chrome trim and a skid plate. The SUV has brand-specific multi-spoke wheels and has a dual-tone exterior.

The Mercedes-Maybach GLS is expected to be based on the AMG GLS 63 and could be powered by a 4.0-liter, twin-turbo V8 engine. In the regular GLS 63, this engine is good for 602 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque and is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission.
