The fourth and final McLaren P1 GT built by Lanzante has now emerged for sale as one of the most significant modern hypercars you can actually buy.
The P1 GT is no ordinary conversion. It’s Lanzante’s ultimate interpretation of the already wild P1, drawing clear inspiration from the legendary McLaren F1 GT of 1997.
Built using knowledge gained from the P1 GTR and P1 LM programs, this machine goes far beyond cosmetic tweaks. We’re talking completely reworked aerodynamics, bespoke carbon-fibre bodywork, a dramatic rear redesign, roof-mounted intake, larger front splitter, and a revised rear wing setup.
Finished in a deep Burgundy shade, this particular example stands out even among an already very limited production run. But what truly sets it apart lies beneath the surface.
Unlike the standard setup, this car received a unique powertrain during its build. The original engine has been preserved and comes with the car. In its place sits a prototype McLaren V8, rebuilt by Cosworth and enlarged to 4.0 litres.
With just 990 miles on the odometer, it remains barely used. More importantly, it represents the final chapter of Lanzante’s P1 story.
